Mount Casale shows a very imposing rocky face on its eastern side, while on the western side a green forest of firs and beech trees descends gently. On the peak there is 'Don Zio' shelter run by volunteers and therefore not always open. The trail we suggest strats and ends at the same place, like a long ring around the mountain. The first part lasting 4:30 hours starts from a quarry under the huge rocky face and a short walk leads to the beginning of the via ferrata, then a very long path climbs up the imposing face without great effort. At the end of the face we reach the meadows then the summit. After a short break, in the shelter if open, we start the second part lasting 3 hours through woods and some ferrata moves to go back to the quarry.
